Re: I was undecided - went for an Elite 360

Oops - at the risk of posting to my own reply again (rather than start another thread).
Got this yesterday and went to bad at 5am after playing COD for about 7 hours straight.
Deffo very, very happy with it. I've been online shooting people today too. Very enjoyable experience, great graphics & sound. Very, very fast.
I love COD4 & the way you can look about during sequences etc. As mentioned before, all I've known for a long, long time has been a PS2 so I guess it's easy to see how blown away I was by this!
I've hard-wired it into the router and it was a doddle to get it to find my server PC and play all my music and DivX files. I can't believe I've been struggling all this time with one of those 'play anything you throw at it' DVD players that is more temperamental than a 3 year old, swapping files from the PC to a pen drive or DVDR. The usability & quality of the player is way beyond my expectations. Being able to access hundreds & hundreds of video files, choose one and go without having to use bloomin' TV out on the laptop is a joy. The on screen visuals when MP3's are playing is brilliant - my Daughter loves it. We had Salva Mea by Faithless pumping out earlier, sounded brilliant. I can take advantage of the TV's speaker set up in the lounge at last. I will almost certainly use the media player on this more than anything, I reckon. The wireless controller is a new thing to me as well, and it works great.

I'm dead chuffed anyway. I imagine a PS3 would probably done all the above just as well, but I'm glad I got this one.
