Hey everyone.

My computer is extremely slow, this has happened since I upgraded my AVG to the 8.9 trial prog it wanted mye to download, I uninstalled that and got the 8.0.100 free version. but it is really really slow.

everything is slow, the internet, opening word, changing folders in Thunderbird, opening any program, or even trying to get into the program list takes forever.

I updated my Adaware and my spybot and done them through safe mode, they only found cookies, but I deleted them.

then I rebooted and I done a anti virus scan, which froze 1.5 hours into it, no crash report or anything, looked like it was scanning, infact it took nearly 10 secs for every file, so I cancelled the program.

I am at a loss as to what to do now.

I am begining to lose faith in AVG and I dont know which Anti Virus to go for, preferably free as I am rooked.

this thing was running just as normal until I upgraded, but not sure if it is really a virus or a dodgey program.

p.s. I got hijack this, an old version but I dont know how to read these things
