My feelings exactly! Didn't she twig when he was buying nappies, and baby clothes, and far too much food? Not to mention babies/childrens voices/crying. Did she never wonder what lay behind the cellar door, with the special lock? His daughter has been robbed of her youth, and also that of his children/grandchildren who never saw the light of day. Cruel and despicable doesn't begin to describe it.
