I have an Acer, it does the job I bought it for, and it's not that hot, pretty cool actually. I upgraded the RAM to 2gb and replaced Vista with XP. I use it as a desktop at the moment, i've added my spare 17" tft as dual screen and bought a cheap wireles keyboard and mouse to save on the ware and tear of the laptop. I'd recomend one.
