Basically, if VM increase the charges on any service you take with them, you can cancel that part of your contract with them by giving them 30 days notice.
This applies even if you have not been with them for the minimum 12 months.
So yes in a way it is a way out for new customers, providing that customer has the service that the increase has been applied to.
It doesnt appear rocket science to me.
