I can't really see your point, forgive my understanding of history but did John Major not come in part way through a term of office? I'm sure there are many insatnces of this happening in the past so why bring this up now as an issue?

Conservatives have changed so many times in the past few years I forget who's in charge.

Ohh and the lib dems as well (the top 20 or so even ate at the restaurant I work at the other week).
