Simple answer Roy,
No the V+ is a effectively its own receiver box with built in hard drive, its not designed as a recorder fortunately there are now many other products (
Pioneer,
Panasonic,
Sony, etc) out there which will allow you to archive your content. Recording from the V+ is a simple set up, when it’s working.
Suggest you put the satellite receiver in another room.
