I suggest that if you have successfully recorded these items to your V+ that before you copy them over that you check these are still working, by quickly running through them.

A slight problem I have found is that some items get corrupted when Virgin does upgrades, and you may think that it’s a problem with the actual copying process when in fact the item(s) are already corrupted. I’ve had some shows that will not play and others that have lost the sound part way through, very frustrating especially when it’s “The WIRE” that I was copying onto DVD to take to watch on holiday.

I am assuming that these items have been recorded from standard television and not the on-demand service, if it’s possible to record from this.

Note: my one bugbear is that at the back of the box the cables are set too close together, because I watch all television via HMDI cable and with a Scart plugged in its right next to one another.
