Re: VM - new contract after house move?
Since you all seem to have some knowledge of house moving and contracts can I throw in a new case. My sister is moving house next week and is having a lot of bother with Virgin. Not only is she getting a different story each time she rings but has also found the replies to be rather arrogant bordering on abusive. Basically, she has been with them for 12 years but last year she had a second box installed not realising she would now be on a new contract. She now wants to move house to a non cabled area where all they can provide down the BT line is her broadband although last week she was told by another operative that they could provide full TV that way. Either way they will not let her out of her contract so they have lost a customer forever plus her bad references for anyone else wanting to sign up. One other choice she was given was to convince the people buying her property to take on the contract. On todays call she was told that was most definitely not possible. I know in the past NTL let a friend out of her contract when she moved to a non cabled area. Is there anything she can do to get out of this. Any help would be much appreciated
