Re: Trying to sign up to Online billing but only have 8 digit AC Number Need 9?!

ok why when they sent out the letter to ME can they not print my account nr and area code on the letter !!!!! because VM have no common sense!
They are on each and every bill (they are even on the electronic copies once you actually sign up for e-billing)

Nottingham changed over in October 2007, so as long as you use the details off any bill from that date, you would be fine.

my last known account nr was 6 digits on all my paperwork , so i have no chance of getting 9 digits, i ring up CS to be told i need my password, i'm ex diamond cable Nottingham and havent spoken to CS for years let alone given them a password. THis is a joke, if they can send me the letter telling me MY service prices are to increase why can they not give me the details i need.
Customer Services will always default to asking as password if there is one on the account (for obvious reasons). If you can't remember it, they can fall back to other security questions if you are the account holder.

If however you are phoning up for an account that is in someone else's name (ie Mr Jones calling for an account in the name of Mrs Jones) and can't quote the password, they will not ask any other questions.

Also due to DPA rules they should not tell you your account number over the phone anyway.
