As anyone been able to get a v+ to work with any auto switch boxes successfully?

i've been struggling because my current switch does nto switch if the v+ is on standby (as if a signal is still being sent down the cable) - i have to manually press the switch button to force the switch

anyone know of any switch boxes which work?
