I am only speaking from my experience of dealings with a woman who was married to a Zanu PF government minister, when she split from him she sided up with the MDC.
Of course I was never able to get to the bottom of how much was truth and how much was lies, this is the problem when dealing with foreigners as opposed to people from your own country.
Her husband (maybe ex) is listed on a site I found with his name against land he had been awarded, she clamed to have properties back in Zimbabwe and it would be fair to assume they had been aquired either through earnings from the Zanu PF or awarded by kicking a white man out.
Her utter contempt for the peasants in her country and the fact that she was a representative of the MDC doesnt leave me with a lot of confidence in the MDC.
On the other hand perhaps she lied and had no official involvement with the MDC and she was using tha excuse of being under threat in Zimbabwe to gain asylum here. She claimed that they wanted her to be the MDC repesentative but she was afraid of being a target.
I guess that is unlikely because an asylum seeker would never tell lies like that would they.
