Whatever you do make sure you get the right equipment.

If you are on virginmedia or any connection with a cable modem, you will need a cable wireless router so that your modem goes into the router and then your Pc's either connect wirelessly with the router or into the back of the router for a wired connection.

If you are currently on an ADSL connection, you will need a wireless router with built in modem.
Make sure you do not get an ADSL router if you are using a cable modem as it won't work.
