I guess that the benefit you receive, or lack thereof, is only going to be proportional to the amount that you type.
For me that means that I will be more inclined to fully spell words instead of using abbreviations/contractions, and that I will be posting more on various forums (especially here) in order to make sure that I'm making the most of the energy saving potential of my newest purchase.
