Just out of interest.....

You have set up the wireless security settings on your router haven't you?

By that I mean: you've turned on the encryption, preferably WPA; you've changed the Admin password; you've enabled MAC filtering?

Oh.....and yes, you should be able to turn it off, leave it for a week or so, and then turn it back on without it all going pear-shaped
