We also opted for a sprung divan rather than a ridged base. We turn the matress weekly, over from left to right one week and the following week top to bottom.

This is kinda the situation we are now in. A few months ago we noticed that our mattress had started to sag. This was the 2nd Silentnight as the first one was also rubbish.
Anyway - dug out the receipt for it today (Argos) and it is 2 weeks over the 1st year warranty - typical!
Phoned Argos and they said it would have to be looked at by an independent specialist. So we said we would take it up with Silentnight and get back to them.
Looking at the Silentnight website, it says they have a guarantee for 5 years providing it's used in conjunction with a Silentnight bedstead.
Now - why should it matter what bedstead you are using it with? We've confirmed that it's ok to use with a slatted bedstead, so why should it matter what base it's on? Alter all - it's only a piece of wood holding it off of the floor!
