Yep: I left the company partly due to issues like this, was sick of having to ad-hoc things that were broken for months or years, this particular issue is one that has been ongoing since the website changed from ntlworld to virginmedia.

It wouldn't be that hard to run a script on the database to retrieve the email addresses, instead of hoping that it will fade-away; which is not going to happen as a lot of new users are affected.

A little bird tells me that the database has been sold to BT so when it's migrated to the new system, maybe the problem will be fixed? Ooooh Look there's Madonna knocking on my window begging for sex again.... Tsk where's my stick?

I used to work for Virgin Media, but I'm alright Nowwwwoooo!
