Thanks very much for your help, I knew it must have been due to the removal of the scart and the introduction of the HDMI cable, the trouble with my home cinema system (DAV-DZ100) is that it dosn't have any other type of connection other than 1 single scart, no other input or output stuff on the back at all.

Can i connect it to the V+ box with a scart then on the v+ box connect it to the AV2 on the TV and listen that way?
