Re: SKY1 -VS- Virgin1 ?

For the sake of a few programs being the only reason you'd move to sat for, is it really worth the hassle and cost of changing?. More so if the dispute is sorted and sky 1 returns during the year. I mean there are always the dvd's arter sky have screened your faverate show. Which has it's advantage when packed with eatra features etc.

Something that I dont know if has been brought up in the past but not mentioned is this thread is the harm that has done sky 1 by moving it off cable!.

What does the loss of a good 3 1/2 million potential viewers do in terms of charges sky 1 can charge for advertising?. If your potential viewer reach goes down by that sort of number, say about 27 % thats has got to hurt the advertising income the channel can charge and generates.

I'd say sky need cable and sky 1 on there as much as cable needs the channel back!.

Also I feel it a bit unfair to compare the quality of a new channel, Virgin 1 against how Sky 1 is now. More so if your 1 of us who can remember the total crap that sky 1 screened when it first came out and for the first couple of years.

If it wern't for the then WWF wrestling programs (where they also used to screen Wrestlemania on) would sky 1 really have survived as a then firth entertainment channel in the UK?.
