I agree with Rob - totally changed our viewing habits! Wouldn't be without it now.
It's a bit slow changing channels but apparently that's because it has to set up the hard drive to continuously record the channel you're watching so you can stop/rewind it.
I've set ours up with a 10 minute buffer after the recordings to avoid missing the end of programs (missed one or two with just 5 minutes added).
Ours was noisy at first but after putting felt pads under the front feet it's completely silent now.
Sure you'll love it.
