Residential to Business braodband migration
Hi everyone,
In a few other threads I queried a lot on fixed IP's, business BB and costings and finally today put in the order. So I thought I'd start up a new thread just detailing what's happening.
Phoned Nikky in Manchester who took the order. They did ask for the business name and also my company registration details so no sneeking in a business order for residential usage.
The costs are £49 for the installation, £10 for the fixed IP (choice of 4 or 8( thats 1 or 5 usable)). Confirmed that on the fixed IP they run a NO NAT service. Also confirmed that the install costs will go onto the first bill payable by Direct Debit.
Next to happen will be a credit check on the company, followed by a site survey and finally the install. Lead time is about 10 to 15 days.
Business broadband is on a different contention ratio so more likely to get the top speed, I also asked her about the up and coming 10 to 20Mb upgrade and she said it was slated in for January but for some reason was put back and is expected by summer, also she wasn;t sure if this is a free upgrade or if it'll cost any more than the current £40 for 10Mb/Phone.
Talking of the phone I rang up VM CS to confirm that I could cancel all services with them as I was going to NTL business BB and they confirmed that there will be no penalty fees as I'm staying within the VM group.
Also for those who want thier phone number ported across from residential to Business BB this can be done but will cost an extra £25.
