My current drive which I've been running for about 3 years now is a Samsung. It replaced two Western Digital drives that died for seemingly no reason.

It is an IDE drive though, not SATA, and it's so far the best drive I've had.

True, but I filled in the RMA from their web site for both my failed WD drives and they wanted me to send them to Germany. Not really worth the cost, when I could buy new ones (more capacity as well) for the same price as sending the old ones away.
