Re: mplayer using command line in Windows

yep, thats OK everyone need to learn new stuff every day.

as far as i can see your just missing the -dumpfile somefile.ra on that line and your done, it will save that somefile.ra in the dir you ran the command from.

im trying to work out if your
MPlayer 1.0rc2-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team is far older than my old
MPlayer dev-SVN-r23673-4.2.0 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team lol.

im assuming it is as mine says 4.2.0, and yours 4.1.2 so perhaps you need to go get a newer version if your getting some type of problem playing the streamed and saved file back now?.

the small bit i got before, played back just fine in my version, (after i ctrl/c ed the command,I.E stopped it streaming any more to the file without deleteing the already saved bit).

ohh, mine says
113 audio & 235 video codecs on the line
yours didnt have any of that, if your pasting the result as is.

did you have the codecs compiled into your version or did you install the external codec pack perhaps?, its been a while since i played with Mplayer and forget the exact sequence.

if Mplayer wont play the files , just use VLC if you happen to have the RA codec for that
