i thought you said you were a *nix bloke?
its exactly the same type of thing as your generic shell/cli on any platform, be it windows,*nix,AmigaOS, whatever, as long as the exe your trying to run is in a path set in the environment variable ,you can type the exe's name and it runs.
in AmigaOS and windows theres no need to give the ./ directive if your cd'ed into the exe's dir by default OC unlike most *nix defaults.
so yes, as you said.
