I used my Daewoo Freeview VHS recorder and it was great ... I only bought the V+ box 'cos the Daewoo died ... I paid the £75 installation fee for the V+ which was cheaper than a replacement Freeview VCR and no increase in monthly payments ...

I was only suggesting the manual recording as it would avoid losing those few minutes between your consecutive programs on the same channel ... You could try giving the second recording a higher priority than the first , then you shouldn't lose anything from the beginning of the second program ...
