It is overall an excellent game: you just pick it up and play, there's no learning curve like the more sim oriented air combat games like Falcon 4 with it's 700 page manual and 1/3 of it dedicated to the radar modes

The graphics are superb and the sheer size of the battles is huge, both in terms of units on the ground and in the air on both sides. If you don't pull your finger out then your ground forces start to get overwhelmed and all this can be heard over the radio chatter.

Despite being more of an arcade style combat game don't be fooled into thinking that everything is easy to shoot down because it isn't. Some of the more challenging opponents take a fair amount of skill and out-manouevring to take out.
