Like the rest of you here, having hell with my 20mb connection.
getting an ave of 1.4Mbps yet at 5am its up to 18-20 meg.
usual rubbish from CS. had an engineer around yesterday. as soon as he stepped out of his van he looked defeated.
He changed the modem to a 255 model and didnt think it would do any good, his words were simply 'oversubscribed'
Phoned support again last night to tell them the engineers visit didnt help and that he suggested i should ask for a UBR move. Virgin said my UBR was fine and that another engineer visit should be arranged. I told the agent that i had an engineer a few hours earlier and what would a second engineer do. she said check signal levels and change the modem. i explained theis is exactly what the first engineer did. she replied with 'ive been told by my superior that this is all we can do.'
Could someone look into my UBR for issues? i dont know what it is, GRC list it as:
