As far as I know Virgin ADSL is just BT wholesale. It looks like you have a lot of noise on the downstream, it should be possible to get a higher target downstream noise margin, which would give you a more stable download - if you can get the HellDesk to understand your request. Have you also tried plugging in modem to master test socket and/or tried a different modem?
