Ok. Look at it from our point of view.

This company starts phoning people, offering them a wonderful service at a cheap price.

This "multi million pound" company has apparently been set up, and licenced top movies and other channels without anything being said in the TV industry press (apart from a website run by Broadcast about IPTV).

The company seems to have no other publicity (where are the adverts?), and the company website doesn't bother to mention what channels people are getting. Also, I can find no mention of Play TV on the websites of some of the channels people on here have claimed will be on it (even where they do mention being on Sky and Cable)..

Also, they have repeatedly missed installation dates. Now, I have worked on large projects before, and I know that things can go wrong, and delays can occur, so this doesn't bother me too much.

In the meantime, if some of the posters here are to be believed, they *have* started taking money. This, if true, *does* bother me. Taking money for a service you aren't providing is either fraud or theft.

OK. so some people have registered on this forum (and, I dare say, others) and said they have recieved their boxes and are happy with them. Assuming this is true, I say good luck to them. We also have a few people who have registered saying they work for the company or have seen their engineers in training.

Oddly, however, those people only seem to have posted in this thread (or other threads to do with Play TV). People tend not to do that on this forum unless they have registered to post about a problem (the basement does seem to attract a surprising percentage of our membership).

No, I do not mean to imply anything, but can you see why people are assuming this is a scam?
