Alien, i think you just solved something no doctor has managed to fix as of yet.
My gf suffers from all of the symptoms listed for Sleep Apnea (Found via your link), including the gasps at night followed by odd breathing etc... It's been troubling her for well over a year, and if we could somehow get it investigated, and cured, i'd owe it all to you.
Let's hope this turns out to be true after i show her this, and get her to go see her Doctor regarding it.
