Slightly off topic. A few years ago, well quite a few really, my son kept spilling drinks on his key board. After the second time I replaced it for him I insisted that any more replacements would come out of his pocket money. (Which eventually cured him of his habit.)

I had a sneaking sympathy for him and on the QT decided to see if I could fix one of the defunked keyboards by taking it apart and cleaning it.

It was hysterical. Once the cover came off I had bits of keys pinging off in all directions. I persevered though and Q-tipped all the mess - took ages - but I cleaned it all off. Trying to put it all back together I almost lost the will to live. Would be almost there then find that one of the keys had slipped off it's contact. Finally put all the bits I had back together only to find that I was missing the cover off the 'f' key. Never did find it---but the key board worked.

Never bothered since. Life's too short.
