Re: Play TV?

You pay the £30 by credit card for installation, if they fail to install the service, you can claim it back from the credit card company.

Once they install the service I believe you have a LEGAL 14 day cooling off period.

If they go under, keep the settop box or dvr supplied.

If they fail to provide the PROMISE service with in the 12months contract I believe you can LEGALLY stop paying for the service.

Sorry - you make it sound sooo simple. It's not. Have you ever tried to leave a contract from telco provider? Believe me - I have and it's not an easy ride.

So we have a LOT to loose.

Rubbish. You can put an informative, colourful, static website up in HTML in a couple of days, and pretty it up later when you have time and resources. That they have not done this - and never mind pretty, just quality information would do - speaks volumes to me about what sort of operation they are.

I agree, again as you i will wait tell the 1st of September, thats no point going from demonizing a service before it has even launched.

Then you have worked in some crap call centres. Internal Communications is my area of business, and I can assure you that 'need to know' is not a good way of doing business.

Take a company such as BT or TALKTALK, who will outsource their calls to oursource call centres. One reason why they will only tell staff what they need to know, and no more. You may have staff taking calls for BT one week then answering calls for talktalk another week. It may be in the commercial interest of PlayTV to limit the amount of information before launch.
