Mandy and I were invited to The Proms at the Albert Hall yesterday.
Drinks and nibbles in a private function room (overlooking the Albert Memorial) before the concert and again during the intermission.....very swish!
The National Youth orchestra was superb! Played Aaron Jay Kernis- New era Dance (interesting)
Prokofiev- Paino concerto no.1 in D flat major, Op. 10 (very moving)
Shostakovich- Symphony no.7 in C major 'Leningrad' (went on a bit at the end)
Fantastic evening.....and got a chance to wear a suit for a change!
