Re: Anyone on the 20mbit/s yet?

Confused you will be. I was an unhappy bunny on 10Mb as I was only getting just over 4.5Mb so I reduced my connection to 4Mb and I was getting the full load and all seemed to work quite fast it did what it said on the box.

I then phoned CS and gave my 30 days notice and I was given an offer I could not refuse. Part of the deal was I would be put on 10Mb. This is where my problems started because the 10Mb was upgraded to 20Mb so how could I be unhappy? The speed of the broadband connection dropped to well under 3Mbthis was on the 23rd of last month.

A couple of weeks ago I started to get 19.8Mb, this was only for two days and I was back with slow speeds, email going missing. In words a real crap service.

I phoned customer service and spoke to a manager who had been on the same self assertiveness course but he did admit VM are having major problems with the 20Mb service in some areas and confirmed we would only be charged for the 4Mb service.

The upload speed at the moment is 7 to 8 Mb with the full 600k upload and it seems to be working ok. I can send emails and upload web sites, browsing is a little slow.

So if your 10Mb service is working keep quite and be happy because if you get the upgrade you could just be pulling your hair out.
