I dont watch this programme, but as to why it started today instead of Friday... probably because THE APPRENTICE is on at 9pm, and CH4 probably wants to pull the audience from BBC1... however, the numerous breaks during BB will make people switch channels, and flicking through they will start watching THE APPRENTICE, and then forget TOTALLY about BB!
