I wouldn't put the age '54' in the same bracket with *elderly*.
I'm sorry but as much as I sympathise with your brothers health issues - you really cannot compare this to the abduction of a young child. One is a natural course of 'life' that was unfortunately dealt to your brother and I am sorry that this is the case, but an abduction is a serious and sickening crime.
