I have. I don't know why, so now when recording I pop back and forth. I had a couple of theories as to why, but when tested sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.

What DVD recorder do you have? I have a Panasonic HDD/Video/DVD. One of the things I've now tried is switching the AV channel on the TV ONLY with the actual TV remote rather than with the Panasonic remote. Since I've done that I've not had the sound switches. I don't know if it's related or not.

Fingers crossed I've now had several copies done without it happening, but I still check before deleting. It's a pain to re-record it, but I'd rather do that than lose it altogether. From my own experience I've had the sound switch out in the first 10 minutes and stay switched out. I've not had it happen any later (though I still always check to the end of the copy just in case)
