Why would you try to convert component to VGA? What's the make and model of projector you are buying?
Also, although the
composite cables you've mentioned will actually work with component video, the quality will be awful as the impedance is wrong. You need proper component cables for a decent picture. I bought a 10m set from Sapphire for about £22 delivered.
