VM are nowhere near big enough to directly compete with the monopoly that Sky currently holds but obviously Mr Murdoch sees them as a future threat and is now looking to do what he can to try and lock down his current position. Right now OFCOM should be looking to make sure that the industry is open to a proper level of competition before it gets to the point where no-one can take Sky on.
