OK, then perhaps as you're so keen to prove your point, you could contact the 50-odd people who voted in favour of switching suppliers, ask them if they have Sky, then take them out of the equation.
I think I've made it pretty clear at every opportunity that the statements I was contributing were
IF the poll
IS representative. I am fully aware that it is not scientific research, but there is still the possibility that the actual result
MIGHT be the same. You don't know either, beucase you haven't done the research either.
So whilst trying to discredit my
theories based on the only actual information that either of us possess, you're so sure that the result will be about 5% - yet you reach this conclusion without any sort of barometer of mood whatsoever - which is second only in accuracy to the crystal ball, which I presume is also sitting on your desk.
Let's face it, what you're expressing is an opinion - and that's good, I like opinions too. However what I was doing was putting forward an hypothesis of what the impacts
could be if 15% was correct. You'll also notice the same sums based on 10% loss and again for 5% loss.
For the final time - I am not stating that the poll is accurate, but it is the best barometer of customers' feelings that we have available to us. When someone that can produce something more accurate, we can revisit the discussion then - but I'm starting to get a little dizzy from going round in circles now.
