I have had rock solid 4mb BB and telephony (in Leeds) for years. On the Cable TV side, occasionally the programme guide (the little two line one) is blank - that's been the extent of my problems, and I am a happy customer.

It depends what you want the BB for - most of the complaints about it (not all, as some people are having speed problems not related to "traffic shaping") are because of "traffic shaping"; it is stopping people downloading stuff constantly from the net (software/tv programmes/films).
