Try switching routes...

Dismayed by ever decreasing speeds from EN I visited their route changing page.

I was amazed to find LLLN.net and ALTER.net routing dropped in favour of the dreadful, low cost, low quality, saturated, packet dropping Level3.net.
So now I default to Level3 transit both for my up and down legs unless I manually change it.

EN admit this crap measure was taken due to Level3's cheaper prices.

As per usual the only effect filtering down to the customer is a decrease in the quality and speed of their throughput.

Time to have a look at Giga's Euro Server methinks.

I wish it was as easy to dump the other half of this cheapskate routing conspiracy. Unfortunately for me ADSL is so heavily contended here that although I am only 900m from the exchange, last time I tried, from an up to 2meg connection I actually got 256k at the best, on a good day.
