At peak times in glasgow if I turn my modem off it doesn't reconnect, the sync light and power lights are static but the net and ready lights flash between one another. It usually sorts itself out after a while so I wasn't too fussed however tonight I went out and came home an hour later and the modem wont connect
It's being doing this for 4 hrs which is the longest yet. I called ntl and they told me that my modem was broken and an engineer would come out on wednesday. I tried to explain that it only happens at peek periods but they said it was showing no signal whatsoever. Now and again the send recieve lights will flash giving me a slight hope that it has fixed itself only to go back to flashing ready lights
I'm pretty certain my modem is fine and its something to do with the network. Its never broke when I'm online at 3am! I argued with the guy but he is in india and I got the feeling he couldn't give a toss if I was inetless for 5 days
Does anyone know what could be causing this? atm i'm piggybacking one of my neighbours wireless... I've been getting a consistant 4mbps which is better than I can say for ntl
