It doesn't turn off the RF output when using SCART. However, I had this setup at home so I could run the bedroom TV off the RF and the TV in the bedroom seems to lose the signal from the Samsung box all the time. You tune it in and it's fine, after a couple of hours the signal starts to degrade (similar to interference or poor signal on analogue terrestrial) until it's completely unwatchable after a day or so. Only way I found to get the signal back was to change the RF output channel on the STB and retune the TV which is a pain in the butt when you have to do it every other day

I'm now considering getting the TV Drive/V+HD box for the living room and having the Samsung STB in the bedroom but I don't really wanna give NTL another 15 quid a month.
