Yeah they send you a refurb one. The replacement I got was a month older than the one I originally bought but it was spotless. Only problem is that it takes 2 attempts to power it on from cold and it sounds louder than my vacuum cleaner. By the time Microsoft have faffed about with couriers and refurbishing it wouldn't surprise me if it was cheaper just to give you a new console
