I've split your post from the previous thread. You've probably got specific issues.

I'm not sure if you are using the right encryption settings on the USB. If you have 128 bit WEP on the router, you need that, not open access on the USB

To get internet access, you need to ensure that the wireless is allowing the use of the router DNS as a gateway. You might need to look in the network settings on the computer to check that.

Also check nothing silly like a firewall is getting in your way.
