Whilst that may be the first thing that people assume, surely Labour would have said it first if that were the case . And don't forget that whilst it may be seen in some areas as a vote-winner, in other areas it will certainly lose votes.

Actually I admire him for saying what a lot of people may think. He has spokien out against something that others choose to pussyfoot around. It's extremely fashionable to rip into the BNP, and often rightly so; but to say anything detrimental about Muslim groups is generally taboo.

One point that is likely to get less airtime due to the mention of Muslims is this:

That is a verytrue statement. It flies in the face of the government's attempts to promote multiculturalism somewhat, but it's better to look honestly at something that doesn't work, than to keep insisting it does work.
