Right, but with VOD it's possible to see how much of a particular programme has been watched. So it wouldn't be difficult, one would have thought, to cancel the charge if (say) less than the first 5 minutes had been watched (I beleive this was the cut-off time in the Front Row days). Obviously this time limit would have to be different for shorter programmes like music videos.
I've ordered things accidentely before (on Teleport) and it's very annoying to have to phone up to get the bill rectified. By the sound of things, it's something that happens pretty frequently. While I'm sure NTL are onto a nice little earner from people who either forget or can't be bothered to phone up, it is rather unfair, especially considering how things used to work in the pre-VOD days.
