Thanx for the help guys.

Really hoping it wasn't a small claims court job, as I am not that sorta person. Don't do well in those sorta circumstances. If I fail, can I end up with massive court costs? Knowing me, I will.

Looks like its going to have to be bravado-laced letter threatening court action. Just hope they don't call my bluff
