Read an interesting article in New Scientist today.
Researchers have restored the vision of some (deliberately) blind mice by transplanting precursor retinal cells into their damaged eyes.
It is hoped that it may lead to a cure for blindness due to diabetes, and also for age-related macular degeneration.
